less than 5 minutes to Lochbay Restaurant and Skye’s oldest pub, the Stein Inn; art galleries, artisan crafts, sheepskins, medieval church; walking, beaches, boat trips, a diving
center. Our own bronze age ruin - ‘Dun Hallin’ is a gentle meander up the hill from Tir nan Og. And we are only a 15 minute car ride to Dunvegan Castle.

The Laundry-Utility
Pack lightly, because Tir nan Og offers just about everything for your laundry needs.
Our separate Laundry/Utility Room is fully equipped with full size washing machine (with starter tablets); automatic tumble dryer (wonderful for inclement day
drying); drying rack (for inside or outdoors), utility sink, iron, ironing board... Coir mat for wet boots and wellies. Hooks and shelves for your outerwear and walking sticks. Between the utility sind and washing
machine are two camp style folding seats to enjoy when you are out and about.
And for tidying up - a ‘Henry’ vacuum, cleaning materials, utensils and a blue recycling bin. Upon your departure our housekeeper will take recycling
to a nearby recycling center.

In Our Garden
My husband Gordon and I designed the Eyrie’s garden with the focus on space and its relationship to the sea. Large curved grass areas embrace broad stone walking paths - a ‘faux shell beach’
in the shape of the sea below. The contoured paths mirror Loch Bay’s promontory to the south and Ardmore’s promontory to the north, in the way that these landforms also embrace the sea.
Escalonia shelter the garden; a raised bed gives subtle colour and texture with its background, the stunning vista of the
Outer Hebrides. The Eyrie’s garden is also framed by nature’s ‘garden - the wild grass and wildflowers of the surrounding moorland.
Seating areas are intentionally placed:
for moments alone and together.
Intimate spaces with a French style
table and chairs and circular Victorian style
bench. For important moments alone or
as a couple, wrought iron chairs and tables
echo Gothic and Victorian design . . . and
everywhere, breathtaking views of the sea - day or night!
